Är bloggar någon konst?
Projektet Blog? spanar bloggar med ett perspektiv bortom dagboksläsandet. De ser bloggen som en plattform och bloggosfären som en scen för konstnärliga uttryck. De kikar på estetiken, språket och på vilka okonventionella sätt som bloggen används på.
“In this project we present works utilizing the blog platform for creation of artworks. The works have been chosen from the posts to the blog dedicated to this project. The works that break the conventional purpose of the platform, conveying a message or delivering data, by emphasizing poetical and aesthetic manifestations of blog, and by exposing capabilities of the blog as a platform for creating art.”
Tankarna känns igen från ett projekt som tycks gått i ide, Blog.art, vilket ändå kan vara värt ett besök. Trots att sista uppdateringen kom för två år sedan.
“Blog.art utilizes blogging as the medium for web-based artworks [net.art]. In other words, blog.art is not a blog about art, but rather a blog as art, where the blog is the conceptual foundation of the work.”
