Surf på jobbet i New York
Det pratas mycket om att surfandet på arbetsplatserna stjäl massor av produktiv tid som kostar multum för arbetsgivaren. I New York har det uppdagats ett fall som sätter lite perspektiv på saken efter det att en anställd surfat under arbetstid.
It should be observed that the Internet has become the modern equivalent of a telephone or a daily newspaper, providing a combination of communication and information that most employees use as frequently in their personal lives as for their work.
Med detta menas att surfning på jobbet inte skall ses som en värre handling än att småprata i telefon eller bläddra i tidningen under arbetstid. Till saken hör att det var tillåtet att använda telefonen till den grad att det inte krockar med arbetsuppgifterna.
Dock håller inte alla med om detta. New Yorks borgmästare Mike Bloomberg kommenterar ovanstånde med nedanstående:
